Here at Hughes Tank Co., we like to think of ourselves as more than just a business and our staff as more than just employees, we are family. Like any good family, we go above and beyond to make sure we stay safe so we can go home to our real families at night. The safety of our work family is by far our highest priority and will remain that way if we are here. A few things that help in aiding to our safety would be:
- Management– From the CEO to shop management, we will lead the way in making safety a high priority by supporting policies, procedures, and activities that create a safe workplace.
- Employee Involvement – We will have a workspace that encourages employee input on ways to improve safety and prevent accidents.
- Continuous Improvement – We constantly evaluate our program and performance to find ways to further ensure employee safety.
- Weekly safety meetings- We find that taking just a little time every week to share thoughts and communicate about potential threats helps greatly in reducing hazardous situations and increases staff awareness.
